In a few easy steps that can be performed in minutes, the entire blower wheel assembly can be removed for easier, faster cleaning and service. Precision Inverter Technology 

Floating Air Premier and Pro units are equipped with a variable-speed inverter compressor. This technology not only increases the unit’s energy efficiency but also minimizes noise disruptions with ultra-quiet operation.

Precision Inverter technology varies the compressor, the outdoor and the indoor fan speeds, eliminating constant compressor start-ups/shutdowns that traditional systems require to maintain the set temperature. Each system can adjust capacity and cooling output to provide only the amount of cooling needed at a given time. The result is optimal comfort with low energy costs.

Heat Pump & Decarbonization. 

Heat pumps are a smart alternative to heating your entire home with a oil, coal or gas furnace.  According to the DOE, when properly installed, an air-source heat pump can deliver up to three times more heat energy to a home than the electrical energy it consumes. This is possible because a heat pump transfers heat rather than converting it from a fuel like combustion heating systems. Savings will be even greater when a heat pump is used as an alternative to electric heating.

M1 Efficiency Changes 

The DOE energy efficiency increases impacts newly manufactured residential and commercial equipment and went into effect on January 1, 2023. For equipment manufactured after January 1, 2023, not only are the minimum standards changing but a new test procedure will be required. This new test method is commonly referred to as Appendix M1, replacing Appendix M in the Code of Federal Regulations. For decades, we’ve used the classic metrics of SEER, EER and HSPF. Going forward, you’ll hear these metrics referred to as SEER2, EER2 and HSPF2.
